Plain-language summary: auro is software for licensed registered dietitians and their patients. It supports the dietitian's clinical judgment — it doesn't replace it. Use it lawfully, don't try to break it, pay for what you use, and the software comes "as is" within the bounds the law allows. If we ever need to terminate your access, we'll give you a way to export your data first.
By creating an auro account or using auro Provider or auro Wellness, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the apps.
auro is a software platform that supports the clinical practice of registered dietitians. auro Provider is a workspace; auro Wellness is a patient companion. auro is not a medical device, is not a substitute for professional medical advice, and does not practice medicine or nutrition counseling itself. Clinical decisions are made by the licensed dietitian using auro.
To use auro Provider, you must be a Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) or a credentialed clinical staff member invited by a Lead RD. To use auro Wellness, you must be at least 13 years old and have been invited by a dietitian whose practice uses auro.
You are responsible for keeping your magic-link email account secure and for all activity under your auro account. Notify security@theaurohealth.com immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
auro uses Claude (Anthropic) for charting drafts, food parsing, recipe summarization, and the in-app assistant. AI output is a draft for the dietitian to review, edit, and accept or reject. Patients should not rely on the in-app assistant for diagnostic or treatment decisions outside the bounds set by their dietitian.
auro applies a PHI sanitizer before every AI call. We never use your data to train AI models.
You agree not to:
If you are a dietitian using auro Provider, you remain solely responsible for:
auro provides a Provider Pilot Acknowledgment and a Business Associate Agreement at onboarding; both govern the legal relationship between your practice and auro.
If you are a patient using auro Wellness, you agree to use the app in good faith and acknowledge that:
auro Wellness is provided to patients at no charge during the pilot period; afterward, fees (if any) are billed to your practice, not to you. auro Provider is billed per provider seat to the practice, on terms agreed in the practice's order form.
auro Health, Inc. retains all rights to the software, brand, design, and original content of the apps and this website. You retain all rights to the clinical content you create (notes, recipes, meal plans, food logs) — auro stores and processes it on your behalf.
You may close your account at any time from in-app Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these terms, threaten the security of the platform, or fail to pay. Before terminating, we will give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your data, except in cases of imminent harm or legal obligation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, auro is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the apps will be error-free or uninterrupted.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, auro Health, Inc.'s aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the apps shall not exceed the greater of (a) the fees you paid to auro in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100. In no event shall auro be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
You agree to indemnify auro Health, Inc. and its officers, directors, and employees from any claim arising from your violation of these terms, your violation of applicable law, or your infringement of any third-party right.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
