Tomorrow’s schedule is read at close of business, and every visit with a payer on file becomes a phone call placed while the practice sleeps.
Where it happens
The verification queue, in Lana. This lesson is part of the Eligibility with Lana track.
What this lesson covers
Step 1
What goes into the queue
Every visit on tomorrow’s schedule that has a payer on file. The queue is visible before it runs, so you can see what is about to be asked.
Step 2
What Lana does on the call
She dials the payer’s provider line, gets through the IVR, waits on hold, and asks a live representative the questions in the order a seasoned biller would. She does not scrape a portal.
Step 3
When the calls are placed
Calls wait for the payer’s line to open, so a run queued at night still lands when a representative can pick up.
Step 4
What is waiting at eight
A list of the day’s visits with a benefit on each, and the ones that need a person at the top.
After this lesson
You can say what the night run covered, what it could not, and what is waiting on the queue in the morning.
The Academy keeps a record of what each person has completed. It is a record, not a credential: auro accredits no one, and no lesson carries CE or CEU credit.
