Read the on-hand count
It is counted in at receiving and drawn down by real dispensing, so the number is the shelf and not an average.
Step 2
Read the draw
Pen needles pair one to one with every GLP-1 dose on the schedule, alcohol prep pads one to one with every needle, A1C cartridges with every lab order, starter kits with every new patient.
Step 3
Read the runs-out date
It is computed against the calendar and the prescriptions rather than against last month.
Step 4
Set the mode
Every item is on reorder automatically, suggest, or alert only. Formulary items draft their own purchase order at the runs-out date; the rest raise a suggestion.
