The close is a set of checks, not a spreadsheet. Thirty-seven of them run every month, and the owner reviews and locks at the end.
Where it happens
The close, in auro Money. This lesson is part of the Money track.
What this lesson covers
Step 1
Run the checks
Charges posted for every visit, batches reconciled, 835s posted, notes signed for billed visits, and the rest of the thirty-seven.
Step 2
Read what did not pass
Each failed check names the visit, the claim or the batch behind it, so it arrives as a task rather than as a number.
Step 3
Clear them
Some are a signature. Some are a decision about a short-pay. Some are a held supply bill waiting on a three-way match.
Step 4
Review, then lock
The owner locks the month, and the lock is written to the audit log like every other action.
After this lesson
You can run the close, clear what did not pass, and say what locking the month means.
The Academy keeps a record of what each person has completed. It is a record, not a credential: auro accredits no one, and no lesson carries CE or CEU credit.
